La Sognatrice and Amare

“La Sognatrice” and “Amare” by Fabrizio Corneli in Librino are in the vibrant heart of the Librino district in Catania, a neighborhood rich with challenges and stories, art becomes a beacon of hope and renewal. Two extraordinary murals, “La Sognatrice” and “Amare”, have transformed the anonymous facades of the buildings into living canvases.

La Sognatrice, a female figure, is revealed at sunset through a magical interplay of light and shadows created by stainless steel sheets. The artwork slowly emerges, like a dream taking shape in the night, capturing the imagination of its observers.

Amare depicts two figures enveloped in an eternal kiss, where light and shadow dance together to bring to life a scene of love and connection.

These works, part of the Magma project, are the result of the artistic vision of Fabrizio Corneli and the patron Antonio Presti. Thanks to the collaboration with the Autonomous Institute for Public Housing and the Fiumara d’Arte Foundation, Librino is undergoing a cultural metamorphosis.

Librino, often considered a challenging neighborhood, is rediscovering its soul through an outdoor art park that inspires new generations to dream big. These murals are not just works of art but tangible manifestations of hope, resilience, and beauty that blend with the daily life of the community.
