3 Summer Stops in Syracuse: Discover the Sailing Tour

Embark on a summer tour with Sicily Sailing Experience and explore the wonders of Syracuse by sailboat!

First Stop: Departure from Ortigia

09:15 AM or 02:00 PM: Departure from the Porto piccolo of Syracuse, accompanied by our skipper. We will sail around the island of Ortigia, admiring the impressive Maniace Castle, one of the most significant Frederick II castles, particularly from the Swabian period in Syracuse. Depending on the wind, we will either sail or use the engine.

Second Stop: Coastal Navigation

Depending on the sea and weather conditions, we will navigate either the southern or northern coast of Syracuse and Ortigia. If we head towards the northern coast, we will admire the magnificent Scoglio dei Due Fratelli (the Two Brothers’ Rock), named after an ancient legend involving two Sicilian brothers.

During the navigation, you will discover the main myths associated with the enchanting places around Syracuse. If we navigate towards the southern coast, we will explore the northern part of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area.

Third Stop

We will make a stop offshore for a refreshing swim.

Back on board, a delicious aperitif will be served, featuring local products preserved in oil, bread, cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh seasonal fruit. Everything will be accompanied by fine local white wine, produced naturally*.

Return to the port is expected around 01:15 PM or 06:00 PM.
